Parenting has been an uglier and derogatory idea now and if we ask children they abhor this. And today that is why the majority are going astray.
“Those who seek to satisfy the mind of man by hampering it with ceremonies and music and affecting charity and devotion have lost their original nature””
“If water derives lucidity from stillness, how much more the faculties of the mind! The mind of the sage, being in repose, becomes the mirror of the universe, the speculum of all creation.
It is possible that you are right... But not all young are going astray. I like to think my children are decent children and do not disrespect me in any way or form... There are the times when they test me, but I usually put my foot down and all's well that ends well. However I have noticed some parents give up to easily and do not listen to what their children are actually saying to them.
Respect begins at home.

Are you a parent? Blaze.

Thank you for clearing that up... But you are right. There are many children that have gone astray in this up and coming era. (that I like to call the - Finger tip era) Everything is at their finger tips. Microwaves - push the buttons. Washing clothes - push the buttons. Dishwashers - push the buttons. I guess they feel that everything should be at their finger tips. Even arrogance and discipline. Or lack of.
I know it is such a strain on our fingers, do you pity us?![]()
For I have known them all already, known them all:
Have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons,
I have measured out my life with coffee spoons;
I know the voices dying with a dying fall
Beneath the music from a farther room.

Parent sometimes have wrong ideas or thoguhts .. sometimes they even force their children to do things they may not agree on .. as in some third world parent send there young kids who has not yet reached 13 for work in the streets.. Thus they get abused and they live a harsh life. Parents in other many countries ; may take decisions for their children .. as for what to study ! what college to join ? Who to go with ? and every single thing in there lives...
It's really hard to obey them when they are on wrong.. but most children do .. and most kids have no choice , simply coz they are our parents and we think that they know best for us even if that is partially wrong !
I am not a parent... but i know that it's not easy to raise kids.
"He is asleep. Though his mettle was sorely tried,
He lived, and when he lost his angel, died.
It happened calmly, on its own,
The way the night comes when day is done."
Informal answer:
cuz kids don't know **** about ****.
Formal answer:
Because kids don't know shat about shat.

And so shall starve with feeding.'

I suppose there could be a children's revolt.
Like how when my class gets out of hand our teacher can't do much about it. Only I don't get involved, I like my teachers.
A revolt would be a waste of time, seeing as we would grow up anyway.
I still think we are expected to because that is just the way it works. I mean, such is life and is alright thus far.
Half the time we wouldn't have known what is good for us anyway.
Like if you were to ask me at the age six whether or not I wanted icecream for dinner. Twenty guesses what I'd have said.

The other thing about this is that... well, its our evolution. Human children don't have the same instincts that other creatures have. Others can walk when they are born, or very shortly thereafter, but human children must be taught much more... how to walk, talk, how to behave, etc...
Of course in the ideal, the child always surpasses the parents in some ways. This is actually seen scientifically. Children of parents with psychological disorders have less of them or have them in less degree. They learn and they are generally mentally healthier (not in every case but as a rule)...
I suppose we aren't born geniouses. Actually I suppose the human race were pretty odd before.
Only difference is that only so many years ago a woman's body would reject a baby with some severe sort of autism. But, yea, I know. We are all getting taller and we are all getting, hopefully more intelligent.
