    "just pipe dreams on paper"

Inspired by the spam E-mails in my Gmail account.

    god bless the Internet

    where I can
    pleasure myself to
    exotic women
    and take down CG armies,
    and feed the hungry
(as well as my gambling habits)
    I can buy my way
    through Heaven to Hell
    while chatting with local singles
    in spam folders
    with empty promises to enhance
my performance, my size, my desires
buying myself a one-way ticket to
    god-knows-where this world is going
    "real
    loneliness
    is not
    necessarily
    limited to
    when
    you are
    alone
    "

... and "inherit" millions from a late, unknown to you distant relative in Burkina whose attorney miraculously found your email address and name and prompts you to...
Very original, PL!, and good. I love it. And I love especially the last lines:
"buying myself a one-way ticket to
    god-knows-where this world is going"
strng, as are often the closing lines of your poems...
    Thank you

i really like these lines, enhancing desires sounds so .. commercial? good idea for a poem, good read.

I know plenty of people who would agree with the lifestyle described by this poem.

    The Internet--both a blessing and a curse!
    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

Don't you love spam! Unfortunately, it cuts both ways. The cheap and badly worded spam is the best, I think.

The alter ego never had it so good (and easy). I like the conclusion here. A wonderfully humorous poem.

    Half life on/of the internet
with an attention span so short
    that it begs serious consideration
    of those promised "enhancements".

If Chaucer wrote the canterbury tales today I would definitely expect a "spammer's tale".
Really enjoyed this poem- the faceless/voiceless nature of internet spam and its promises makes it all so much seedier than telemarketers- or pardoners!
    Especially enjoyed the lines;
" I can buy my way
    through Heaven to Hell"
