Very good summation. Especially for Dorothea and Lydgate and Rosamund. I think the Lydgate marriage demonstrates how easily carelessness can derail noble plans, whereas the Casaubon marriage demonstrates how far from reality our first impressions can be. And perhaps the Ladislaw marriage shows the reality that is ideal for us is far from what we thought it would be!
