    Theatrical adaptation

Any theatrical plays based on Animal Farm? Preferably with many actors -I've only found the cue script of a monologue..

Not that I know of. I don't think it's very well suited to theatre. There have been productions in the past though so you never know.

Must cost a bomb to pay for all those animal costumes.

I saw a production at the West Yorkshire Playhouse last year - it was quite superb! The actors played the animals straight - they went around on all fours, copied animal mannerisms and punctuated their speeches with animal sounds; eventually, you forgot they were human and actually found the illusion sustained.

They also blended a lot of music into the production - all the actors appeared to be accomplished musicians, and the acting was good enough to sustain the illusion of a chap being horse, even when he was playing a trombone... it really added to the feel of the thing...

Yeah, there are, but they are mainly devised pieces, and so there isn't a readily available script.
You could adapt it yourself if you so wished but you might need to talk to people about rights.
