Ugh. I am reading this for my english class... I totally7 agree... It is a flat image laid in front of you, lacking dimension, color, life and spirit. Totally dull. Though it teaches life lessons and things about love, what book doesnt? Not worth my time reading though it...
I read "A room with a view" for my english class this past week- and I must say it is one of the most boring books I have read in the past five years. I was quite disappointed because everyone was telling me it was so "funny". I had to take breaks while reading so I would not fall asleep! I think the characters were underdeveloped, and the description of scenery lacked vibrance and spirit.( It does not live up to the true beauty of Florence in my opinion!) I would not recommend this book to anyone- and I feel sorry for others reading this in their english classes... good luck!
