Question about Wordsworth's "The World is Too Much With Us"

    Hi, Everyone.

I'm not sure I understand the basic meaning of these two lines in Wordsworth's "The World Is Too Much with Us."

The winds that will be howling at all hours,
And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers...

What does this mean, winds being "up-gathered" like sleeping flowers?

    Thanks,

    Kathryn
