    Juniors' Forum

The amazingly talented and beautiful soundofmusic came up with what seems an excellent idea - a Junior Members' Forum.

This all came about because I finally let my 10 yo daughter pester me into letting her post here which gave soundofmusic the idea.

I find LitNet to be the only genuinely kid-friendly forum on the internet and it seems to me that it might attract a number of book-loving juniors.

    Any thoughts?

Bajerox, I am not a junior, but I think some juniors are shy about beginning discussion maybe? I shouldn't participate, of course, because I am not young enough to matter much on these topics.

I am interested in the idea that you guys might want to discuss books here, though, so I'll try to help by asking:

What are some books that you like?

Maybe some others will notice your ideas and opinions (eventually!?!?), and share theirs too.

    Thanks Billl
I like adventurous books and scary books
Authors that I like are people like Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl and Anthony Horowitz

My favourite authors is Roald Dahl and my favourite book is the witches and the twits

Even though I might be a little to old for them they still crack me up every time i read them

( I have read them each about 100 times!!!!!)

I haven't read Roald Dahl (unbelievable, isn't it!), but Witches and Twits is a GREAT title. You write very well, and it sounds like you're a good reader. Now, let's see if some more juniors find this thread!

Hey! I'm pretty sure i'm a junior compared to everyone else. So a good book?... I think i would have to say Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech. Or The Two Princesses of Bamar (not sure by who). Neither of which i have read for awhile but I am still fond of them.

There have always been young members on the forum and they have all grown and Matured while frequenting the forum. Their love of Literature and the opertunity to freely discuss (regardless of the genre or age bracket of the book) with the older members of the forum has probably helped them mature into the people they are. Pensive is a wonderful example of that. It has more or less been that way since the forum began.
