In reply to the drama teacher, I also have no idea what Bunbury means. I assumed it was a Wilde invented word however, now that you mention Bunbury is a place in Australia. Possibly, that was a lead up to Jack's threat to send Algy to Australia. Jack is almost trying to fulfill Algy's original Bunburying intention.
