    Smile Hello...

Hello everyone. I'm Iván, I am spanish and i'm learning our lenguage... sorry if I am wrong in some word.
I'm new in this forum and i'd like to meet people to speak about literature. Well, I'm 19 years old and I'm writting my first novel (I hope to finish it soon). I like to write poetry too. I prefer the prose poems though I consider myself to be a novelist and not poet. My favourite authors are: Charles Bukoswki, Henry Miller, Jack Keroauc, Jaime Bayly, Franz Kafka, Guy de Maupassant and Gerard de Nerval.

    Well, that's all...

Hello everyone. I'm challenged on what to say without saying too much and becoming a bore or a braggart.
I was born in Berlin during the Airlift in 1948. I am the son of a German war refugee and a French Army Captian. My mother brought me to the USA after marrying a US Army soldier. Our first day in the USA was the Fourth of July. I still have the plane ticket. Being an Army brat took me all over the USA and Europe and most especially Alaska where I found the poetry of Robert Service. More recently I have lived in So. California, where my children still live. I am now in Oregon. My life has taken me to many interesting places and people. I enjoy writing poetry but I do not tease myself that it is any good, but I still write it.

Hi! I registered last year but have always been 'spying' on people's posts and have never really posted anything myself. So I'm new here, I guess. I am a student majoring in bio and love reading books. I wish I can say I love writing, but unfortunately I am a terrible writer and that really keeps me from writing actively. I just keep a journal and never let anyone read it :P
    Glad to join this place!

    Well introductions are always difficult.

A little about myself, I was born and grew up in Montreal, I attended McGill University and received a degree in microbiology, and I enjoy reading when I have the time . So, I hope to enjoy my time here and not be too much of a burden.

    Hello everybody.
I love so much some of the English literature that I have decided to participate in this forum, although I'm afraid that I could not contribute very much for English is not my mother tongue.

    Read you soon.

    Hiya

Hello all, glad to be a member of a forum again - it's been years since I was a regular poster.

I've always been in love with reading (see my username/4th grade nickname). Growing up in a tiny town in the rural Midwest, books have always been a key factor in my entertainment and imagination. I am on a mission of sorts to read novels acknowledged to be great works of literature, while still enjoying my Nora Roberts collection. I hope to find suggestions on this forum, as my list of great novels from the Modern Library suspiciously contains many books published by the Modern Library and doesn't contain any books written after 1970.

    Later.
...currently reading: Stone of Tears by Terry Goodkind and To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf
