louisa may alcott was an excellent writer. her books were some of the most wonderful that i've ever read. i'm just curious, when did marmee die? i read little women, then little men, and now i'm reading jo's boys. at the beginning of jo's boys it says that marmee is dead, but she didn't die in the previous two books. so when did she die??? anyway, the books are terrific and alcott was very gifted.
