I found this book a rather compelling novel that inticed me to write my very own 600 page novel which I hoope shall one day be published. I loved the way in which Thomas Hardy described each character so vividly. Although I did not quite understand the phrase "smelly little Arab" describing a rather malcoodinated character in the book.
