I thought that this book was cute. It was slow when I first started reading it but than I found it really interesting. I think the story is so cute. I like the affair part, I didn't like how the story ended I think that Newland should have ended up with the countess. I think it's sad how they both lived there life being lonely. I also think it's pathetic how Newland let what society thought take over his life, he had many chances to be with the woman that he loved but he didn't.
