Well, she lives in the Luzon area, so. . . . .I don't think so.

No, a typhoon is just a TON of rain. . .I think. On Saturday, they got the amount of rain they usually do in six months in six hours

Wow, that is unreal. Are their mountains on the islands? I wonder if she is on high ground. I hate storms like that. I get upset when hurricanes hit our coastline and I am miles inland. I don't like torrential rain or wind.

Well, I don't know how she wasn't effected, it's really a miracle. She says that the water is thigh-deep outside, and yet not a bit of water has entered the house.
Though she did say that her bathroom ceiling collapsed (which got me REALLY worried), but other than that, nothing else has happened.

(sorry everyone for going a bit off-topic, this is just very disconcerning to many of us Lit-Netters)

Oh that's awful and if they get another one or two, it will be even worse. Why do these things seem to come in bunches. I hope the predictions are all wrong and the storms miss them. I guess the water coming down so quickly could not drain off a roof and thus the bathroom ceiling collapsed. I would just freak if that happened to me; but then again if it's way more tragic around you then you would count yourself lucky if that was all the harm that came your way. That can fixed, lives can't.

Yes of course. They seemed to be quite prepared and cautious (thank God).

That's good. Maybe they have lived through these before. Islands get hit often with storms; still it can't be too much fun.

Oh of course. . . . .it's just that this one was the worst they've had in forty years. . . .

Anyway, I know she'll be fine.

Ok, I see then. She will be ok; she's a strong person and wonderful, too, to help others like that. Stop worrying. I am sure she will be just fine.

I am going to go watch a movie now - no it's not Hamlet - that is over 3 hours long! Not tonight but possibly sometime this week. I am going to watch Witness I think; haven't seen it in years and I picked it up cheap; but then again I am sort of undecided.

The full-length Kenneth Branagh version shot in marvelous 70 MM. I'm watching it on my little 8 inch Sony player. It looks fantastic! I broke my glasses and I can't see anything far off without my sunglasses on, which are prescription. I am loving it as usual. I watch it several times a year! What a case I am! When the film gets to your signature line; I feel tears welling up inside me. I

Look alive, LitNet Theatre. I hope interest isn't waning. I start my Elizabethan/Jacobean theatre class at the Sorbonne tomorrow morning.

Well, we're just waiting for the rest of the auditions. Toni might not be able to audition for Ophelia after all because of the brownouts in her city and because of the devasation of the typhoons. In her absence I'll just be the thread creator/moderator.

Don't forget, everyone, auditions are still needed! Multiple roles are virtually manditory.
