I think in general, really. In pretty much every English department I've eveer seen, the women usually outnumber the men by at least two to one.

Medieval literature seems to be an (unfortunate) exception - its a right old sausage-fest for Medievalists...

Interesting to see that it is a female dominated forum. My gender was easy, as my screen name is my real name- I guess I couldn't come up w/ a unique enough alias to go incognito.

My screen name is my real name also...but people still think I'm a man sometimes (I think its the Greek God reference)...I'm suprised that the site is female dominated as traditionally literature seems to have a rather male focus..especially in terms of Authors..don't you think?

Although...I think that women are more likely to be readers...
