Much as I'm the biggest Orwell fan in existence, I'm not sure I agree with you.
Most of Orwell's problems came from his own peculiar belief that he had to endure hardship to write about it. He may have been right as far as Eric Blair goes, so without the hardships, he mightn't have been half the writer he was.
Go to work, get married, have some kids, pay your taxes, pay your bills, watch your tv, follow fashion, act normal, obey the law and repeat after me: "I am free."
