i was forced to read this book however being rebellious i spark noted it, after writing my papers and doing research on the author and text i feel the need to go back and give the boook a second chance, imo this book is one that you have to be ready for and as others have stated it is a book that if "forced down your throat" it wont be enjoyed. therefore i recomend this book if you like to read these types of books or are driven to read it otherwise wait, the book will still be here in a few years when you might be up to reading it.
