Apparently, if S6 gets good ratings and high viewership, SYTYCD will be permanently moved to the fall season.

^ This is going to be tricky, Tuesdays and Weds are big tv nights for me. Are you a NCIS fan? I have to figure out what to watch live, what to program and how to do it!

"But do you really, seriously, Major Scobie," Dr. Sykes asked, "believe in hell?"
    "Oh, yes, I do."
    "In flames and torment?"
"Perhaps not quite that. They tell us it may be a permanent sense of loss."
"That sort of hell wouldn't worry me," Fellowes said.
"Perhaps you've never lost anything of importance," Scobie said.

^ Yeah, I think that moving SYTYCD to the fall season is a huge mistake for FOX. There are so many shows to compete with. It was better off as a summer show.

Haunted, I know you said that you haven't really watched DWTS, but here are some of my favourite dances. Maybe they'll persuade you to check out DWTS9 when it starts on Monday, September 21.

Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke - paso doble
Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke - tango
Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas - foxtrot
Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas - cha cha
Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas - mambo
Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke - rumba
Stacy Keibler and Tony Dovolani - samba
Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer - mambo
Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough - samba

One crew has been assigned "I'm a Slave 4 U", so it appears that this crew might indeed have to dance with a snake.

The other three songs are: "Wall to Wall", "Tearin Up My Heart", and "Vogue."

There will be a group dance to MJ's "Smooth Criminal."

gosh, lets hope that it'll just be a giant garden hose.

I'd love to see those DWTS dances. I'll check them out in the morning after I recovered...Just watched 2 hours of America's Got Talent. My eyes are like . There's a couple I was so looking forward to see, their dance was spectacular, sensational and epic. But they did a totally different thing tonight, it was such a letdown. My eyes are hurting.

DWTS came a long way since I saw it the first time. I did watch it again and noticed it's gotten much better. But it doesn't have a hook on me and I now know why.

They danced well, they're in sync and the choreo is not all that boring. One is not a trained dancer so they're not doing eye-popping lifts like in SYTYCD, so I cut them some slack. But even if I don't expect lifts or anything too technical, something is missing, and that's feeling! Ironically I keep hearing the lyrics, "feel it!" but I'm not feeling it, because they are not feeling it.

They don't look emotionally connected to each other. And there is no passion in the dancing.

I have to compare this to the Neil/Sabra paso doble in SYTYCD, because that's the one I remember best. There is passion and personality. Neil and Sabra are tuned into each other. It's the way Neil looks at Sabra....and she's so beautiful in her laced-up costume. Neil stays in character even after the music ends. It's got both passion and drama. That's not just dancing, that's a performance!

Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke - tango
... this is one ok too, they danced well, same thoughts as above

Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas - foxtrot
    ... nice

Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas - cha cha & mambo
... they have chemistry; enjoyed both of dances. Mark is awesome and Kristi delivers; she's very flexed and that's the unfair advantage because of her background. I'm surprised she didn't do a full split

Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke - rumba
... this one looks a bit amateurish, his moves are not big enough, there's not much hip action but he has the stature to carry it through

Stacy Keibler and Tony Dovolani - samba
    ... this one sizzles!

Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer - mambo
... Love! very professional, finally a dance that reminds me of SYTYCD
    She's Benji's sister?

Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough - samba
... Love! These 2 really connect, great dance. I happen to like Apolo a lot

Lifts are not allowed on DWTS. Couples will get penalized for doing lifts.

To be honest, I never really liked this dance. Neil's posture was weak; he was too hunched over. He was too light on his feet; he was supposed to dance into the floor. He didn't seem that convincing as a matador, either. The paso doble is the man's dance, and I didn't think that Neil commanded that dance. The donut drop at the end was awkward; Neil had to shake Sabra down. This wasn't the best paso doble on SYTYCD; for me, that title goes to Heidi and Travis in S2.

I thought that Drew embodied the attitude of the matador quite well. During the entire dance, he is a convincing leading man. I have to disagree with you about the passion because I thought that they had so much chemistry, and that they complemented each other very well in the dance. I loved those zombie-esque moves during the bridge section.

Perhaps you weren't feeling it as much because of the song? Neil and Sabra's paso was danced to traditional paso music, while this paso was danced to MJ's "Thriller." I never thought that MJ and ballroom dancing go together, but I completely changed my mind when I saw this dance.

Drew is able to lead Cheryl throughout the entire dance, and I could definitely see the passion within the dance. A tango is supposed to illustrate a love-hate relationship, and I thought that Drew and Cheryl illustrated this amazingly. This was much better than Neil and Lauren's tango.

Perhaps I'm biased because Drew and Cheryl are my favourite couple on any season of DWTS.

I agree. This dance was even more impressive, given that this was their first dance. Kristi exudes grace and elegance.

I agree that Kristi delivers, and I thought that she was very fun and flirty in these dances.

I thought that this was such a sensual and classy rumba, and while I agree that Emmitt's hip action could have been better, this was quite impressive for someone who has had no previous dance experience.

You have a point, Neil looks boyish and may not be that convincing there. Same when he danced as the father in Mia's piece, I didn't quite get the father/daughter scenerio. But I loved all of his dances, what can I say...fangirl talking here

^ haha, rooting for him the whole way during the Winter Olympics, but no, only admitting to being a Neil fangirl

Did you see any of last night's S6 audition? 2 or 3 girls are awesome. If they make it into the top 20, it'll be a heck of a show.

^ Which girls? I saw that there were three contemporary girls (Paula, Alexie, Pauline) who previously auditioned for S5, and I know that Pauline is cross-trained in hip hop. I hope that all three of them make it.

There was this blonde contemporary girl that Nigel loved, and this salsa girl that the judges loved. I didn't like either of them.

I really liked Ryan's audition, but I think that he got cut during the Vegas rounds

SYTYCD overload! After the Canadian results show ended, the American auditions began.

^ Let's see, I like the blonde girl who you don't like; and I don't like Ryan who you like. We never agree

My problem will be NCIS which will start at the same time in 2 weeks. I'll have to switch over and miss the rest of the auditions.
