    The temptest is one of shakespeares' laterst play. And this play called by others the reconcilation play. Although at first prospero intends to revenge for himself.yet he forgives his enymies and mayyies his daughter to Ferdinand . Everything goes well at the end .

    was it deemed a comedy? in the folio there's no specification of genre, it's left blank; and although the ending is a deus ex machina the ending is ambiguous - look at the chess scene between miranda and ferdinand. is he a cheat?
