    i agree

    to many people these days read something and emedeatly believe it due to the fact that they are to lazy to read the book and/or to have original views.

    I agree with you who ever u are! There is no dinner and Shylock lends him the money. Get the facts straight before u post em on the net plz, I was looking stuff up for homework purposes and got really annoyed by this site.

    I agree as some people cannot think why Shylock acts so confused at some times but so villainous at others. He is always criticised and victimised but he is a far too complicated creation for me to undrstand.

    Courtney I think you might have been looking for another comment. There was a dinner I belive but Jessica didn't go to it. That's what I think.

    Some points in this summary are very biased. There are MANY possible interpretations as far as releuctance and motives go, and only one possibility is represented here. This is not to say that this is not a good summary. IT IS. But do not limit yourself to this only.
