I'm not sure if this will be of any use, but if you are writing a feminist perspective essay on Eve, then it's a good idea to include the Theological parallel of the announciation and the first temptation of Eve in PL. He advances on her in book 4 when she is sleeping and inserts his tounge into her ear. In Rennaissence times (due to a mis-reading of the bible) schlors thought the conception of Christ was done via Mary's ear. PL sees a parody of this in the way Milton substitutes intercourse with discourse. It is also thought that Eve, thus concieve's Sin and Death. Eve's experience in Eden forshadows Mary, and the 2 holy figures can be seen (simplisticaly) in Black and white. e.g: when Mary's run in with God preserves her purity, Eve's liason with Satan compromises her chastity.<br><br>hope this is helpful!
