I hope you get a chance to reread the book, I have read it many times since I received it for christmas from my father when I was nine. I still read it approximatlely once every five years, always find something I didn't notice, or something that is right on for what is happening in my life at that time.
We knew very little of this book here in Russia. But as I read it, I realised it is no less then "Alice in Wonderland" or "Hunting of the Snark" (which are, on the contrary, widespread and common here) a true masterpiece, a fairy tale for the adults. Most of all, I liked the "Piper" for it so poetic, full of emotion and grace - so that is a book I will certainly remember through years to come/
