well... i also had to read this for school, along with the Crucible. Scarlet letter had a good story line, great characters, but like so many books of that time.. is slow and a pain in the a$$ to read at times.

<br><br> You sound like youare looking for the short cut to completing an assignment for school. I can't blame you if you are since when I had to read the assigned classical great books in high school and college, I too found them very hard to comprehend and therefore stuggled through them. I now have the time to get through them at 65 years of age and still find them hard to get the full meaning of them. I have the time to read them once but will not give any more time to understand them fully. <br> This web has helped me by knowing we all are not alone when we see that others have the same feelings and opinions we may have.
