Here is an interview with Kiz_paws:

Are you sure you want to do this?
    Why not?

    Are you male or female?
    Female

How did you come about this site and what makes you keep coming back?
I was wishing to re-read the play A Doll's House by Ibsen, and, well, here I am!

Are you happy with the way things are here?
Yes, this site is one of the few that I frequent, and I feel that it is totally well run and I've made many friends here.

Have you visited other countries than your own and what did you like about it or not like? If you could live somewhere different from where you live now, where would it be and why?
I had my honeymoon in Cancun Mexico, and loved that place! Can't wait to go back.....

Have also been to my neighbour, the United States numerous times, love the Tennessee way of life -- oh to live in the Smokey Mountains with a home with a wrap-around veranda.... But then there is the vivacious city of New Orleans, such mystery, charm, and the food -- oh the food -- can't wait to go back ...

I have been to Ireland, to England and to France. I loved the permanent green in Ireland and the way of life that I perceived that I glimpsed, even though briefly -- they have a genuine joie de vivre that is totally admirable and endearing (plus the beauty of the countryside that I was blessed to have seen).
England -- I loved the people, the shopping and the food
France? Oh my gawd -- LOVED IT (Sweets, are ya hearing this??, lol!) France is a beautiful place -- I saw Paris and drove up to the North of France, and thought that it was absolutely beautiful, and plan to go back as soon as I can, believe me.

    Do you have any pets?
Pepper is my little Miniature Schnauzer, and she turned eight on July 22nd.

    What makes you happy?
When I see justice in the world, for one. For two, a walk in a forest dampened by a morning rain makes me feel happy; and for three, when I have accomplished that which I have set out to conquer on my piano (which has been some new Ragtime stuff, btw)

What is mankind's biggest achievement, and its greatest downfall?
I think that our greatest achievement is our ability to link the entire world with the newest and greatest computer technology. Our downfall is our inability to feel for our brother man.
Another downfall, I feel, is that everything seems to be disposable -- we need to go back and do things 'the old way', we can learn lots from our ancestors.

If you had a long day of hard work ahead of you what music would you be playing on your mp3, while working?
Well, I have an eclectic variety of music that I enjoy listening to. I guess I'd begin with Nine Inch Nails, then some Nirvana, and then Alice in Chains, or Staind; then maybe some master playing the Chopin Ballades, and then some Vivaldi, and then back to the band, Hole.... the list goes on. Yeah, I like most kinds of music.

If you could take one book, music album and one video with you to a desert island, what would they be?
The book I'd choose would have to be For Those I Loved by Martin Gray, for I feel that it is the greatest book ever written (and it is a true story, too, btw). The video I'd pick would be March Of The Penguins because I never fail to stand in awe of the perfect example Nature affords us; and the music album would be my cd entitled "Classics For Quiet Times", that features the Greats -- Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Vivaldi, Liszt, etc.

Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God?
I did until I began reading vast amounts of literature pertaining to the Holocaust. So now I am filled with doubts ... I find comfort in the Great Spirit; as well as the beauty and humility inspired by Nature.

Which actress should play you in a movie based on your life?
Kim Bassinger comes to mind, but Demi Moore is as spirited as I think I am, so, hmmmm ... good question ....

Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?
Guess I'll go with the pre-successor to the dog -- a wolf. They are noble, true to nature and family-oriented ...

What were your favorite things to do the past? What about now?
I used to love partying with my friends, but now I love the quieter things in life. A fire with logs spitting their beautiful music; a forest with whispering leaves and melodic birds; a waterfall -- I guess communion with Nature satisfies me the most now-a-days.

What makes you feel great about yourself?
When I can play the piano piece that I have selected to 'conquer' -- OMG, such a feeling. I also feel good when I secretly do a good deed . There is nothing quite like having made a difference unbeknownst to anyone that I had a part in it.

Who inspires you most? (Anyone you know or not. Family, friends, authors, artists, leaders, etc.) Which qualities inspire you, in each person?
My inspiration is a kaleiscope of persons, both living and dead. My father definitely inspires me and keeps me on track. His mother was something else, and her memory lives on in me. I am humbled by the art of Dali and the music of Chopin; my dog inspires me too, in her quiet, unobtrusive manner ....

What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)
I have a natural ability to play Ragtime piano music, so I practice this plenty. I also am good at playing Chopin (the piano, again, lol). But I also have been told that I have a knack for sorting out the B.S. in things from the reality (o really?, lol)

If you had to teach something, what would you teach?
Well, it would be great fun to teach a dog obedience class, those students are students I'd love to mingle with, yes indeedy.

What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?
I regret nothing ... I live each moment as it comes, and try to spread happiness wherever I can.

What song is in your head at the moment? Zero Sum by NIN

Which book are you reading at the moment?
    The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice {yeah, I know -- I said I'd never 'get into' those Vampire Novels -- but anyhoooooooooo....}

The last book you finished reading?
Survivor by Tabitha King (yes, Stephen King's wife)

    Favorite food?/ Comfort food?
My favorite thing to eat would definitely be chocolate. Dang, I love that schtuff!
My comfort food would be Vegetable Soup a la Kizzo, served with Parsley Dill homemade Bread

What time of day do you most often find yourself on the LitNet?
Not too often as of late. But I used to be able to check out stuff after midnight.

What are you wearing at the moment?
A tee-shirt that reads: "Vegetarians Are Eating The Rainforests" (cute) and black clam-diggers (mid-calf jean thingies)

    Favorite poem?
I started my love of poetry when I was eight or nine years old, by reading Robert Louis Stevenson, a wonderful bookful of children's poetry that my grandmother gave me, and that stuff will always have a home in my heart. But as of late, I guess the lyrics of some of my favorite songs would have to be considered my 'favorite poem', (Wish You Were Here ... Pink Floyd; Zero Sum ... NIN), etc., etc.

First novel you remember reading on your own?
The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz by Frank L. Baum

    Favorite TV shows?
I don't watch any TV, but I will say that if the Kung Fu television series from the 70's (? )with David Carradine was re-introduced, you would find me glued to the TV set, lol.

Which LitNet members would you like to meet in person if you could?
This question is difficult in that I'd wish to meet any and all of my friends that I have linked up with here. You all hold a special place in my heart. So no names in particular.

    Favorite post on the Forum?
I have a favorite haiku thread that contained a post by mauvy blue about an albino bunny. OMG, haiku perfection or what ...

    Favorite thread?
Any of the haiku threads will answer this question.

    Last food did you have?
Tomato/Onion Feta Cheese Salad. To die for, trust me! 'Specially with hot buttered toast and a glass of white wine....

Last words you said out loud?
"Dear gawd" (to my doggie when I spied that it was raining cats and dogs outside)

    Last person you hugged/kissed?
    My dad

What do you do (for a living) to be able to keep your LitNet addiction going? And are you happy with your chosen profession?
I am temporarily unemployed, but do volunteer work at a nursing home. I am keeping my fingers crossed at playing Ragtime piano at a little peanut bar, so gotta keep practicing ...
To keep my LitNet addiction going, I just try to find whatever time that I can spare to be here.

What question would you like to ask yourself?
When, oh when, will you be fluent in French, silly goose?

What would you like to be if you could change your profession?
I'd love to have been a concert pianist. However, there are physical challenges that I could never overcome, so meh, here I am.

    Least favorite book/song/movie?
Least favorite thing written would have to be any drivel called "Harlequin Romance", lol. Sheesh already!!
Least favorite song would have to be anything Country and Western (Johnny Cash exempt, btw)
Least favorite movie would be "Herby the Love Bug". I hated that one, sorry in advance to any fans ...

The most generous thing you have done?
    I would rather not say.

What is your most outstanding feature?
    My quick abilty to laugh

If you could change one thing about the way you look, what would that be?
Well, since you asked, I have always wished that I had longer legs, but I am ok with how I am, what can I say ...

Which book do you wish you had written?
None come to mind, I enjoy gushing over the good authors that I have had the privilege of reading

What is your favorite book cover?
Maybe Diary Of A Madman, but it is difficult to say...

Most and least favorite characters from books?
Well, Prince Myshkin from The Idiot by Dostoevsky is one favorite; but I really loved Poprishchin (Diary Of A Madman, by Nikolai Gogol). Least favorite? I'll go with the despicable fellow, Svidrigailov from Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment

What would your biography be titled?
If Trent will allow, I'd call it "Me I'm Not".

What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?
    Devouring a book, natch!

    Wonderful Superman or depressing Batman?
    I'll go with Batman

The most embarrassing moment in your life?
I died a thousand deaths the day that I wrote/played my Grade 9 Piano Exam. I tripped over the leg of a card table set up by the adjudicator in my nervousness, and send all his stuff flying akimbo. Needless to say, he was not impressed and I did not recover from that bad start. I got less on that exam than I could have if my legs had only kept to right path. Oh what a tough adjudicator, btw..

Which literary character (s) have you been told to resemble the most?
The Patchwork Girl Of Oz? something like that, lol

List some of the things that annoy you immensely.
I hate when people don't have a mind of their own and settle for the group mentality thing. Make a stand already!
I also have no use for people who abuse animals, create puppy mills, and this kind of thing.
I also hate it when my hands are cold and I don't have the agility required to play the piano as a result.
I hate fly-away hair and chapped lips.
And I hate sloppy kisses (unless they're from a dog, teehee)...
Hmmmm -- this is a lot of "I hates"!

Anything that you want to forget but you never can?
That would be the previous guy I dated before I met my husband. Anything and all that had to do with this bad experience (omg, BAD) would be worthy of forgetting, but I cannot.

Tell us about some amusing translation mistake you have heard or made yourself.
I can't come up with anything here -- I am always making major goofs when trying to practice Icelandic...

If you had to lose one of your senses, which would you choose and why?
My sense of smell comes and goes, so I have learned to operate a decent life with or without it, so I guess I'll go with that.

What’s the first thing you’ll do in an embarrassing situation?
    Laugh like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart?

Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?
    I am happy with life.

    What gives your life meaning?
Family and friends to share happy moments with (and the sad moments, too). I tried the loner approach and decided that I was the kind of person who really is not an island. I feel snuggly and warm knowing that there are people who care about me and who I care deeply about. Just having this makes my life complete (well, I didn't mention my attachment to my pet dog, Pepper, but that is another story).

What type of Faerie would you like to be and why?
I already am a Faerie -- I am the Fairy Dog Mother and I do love this role, yes indeedy!

    What makes you laugh?
My best friend bought the entire tv series "The Trailer Park Boys" and I don't believe that I have ever laughed that much in my life. Playing frisbee with my dog, Pepper, is quite amusing, let me tell you. My dad is the funniest man alive, so he never fails to make me laugh when we are together.

What was the happiest period of your life and why?
My happiest times were when I moved away from home into an apartment with my girlfriends. Just the independence of having my own place and being on my own was really fun and a good learning experience. It also gave me insight into just how much my mother did do for me!

What part of “Final” don’t you understand?
    ha ha!

One final word of wisdom for LitNet users?
Believe in yourself. --OR-- Life is too short for bad coffee

What would you like to ask to the person to be interviewed after you?
    Do you believe in ghosts?

    ~Albert Einstein
