    The words are from line 484 of Book 6 and mean "was moved to pity."

    Under the dedication of a book I'm reading, are two Greek words followed by<br><br>Iliad vi, 484.<br><br>A letter by letter translation of the Greek: dakrusen galasasa. <br><br>I assume the Iliad reference is to Book 6........484 means ?? Does anyone know what this says?
