The Phantom of the Opera has been one of the most moving musical productions I've seen. I am a complete theatre-goer, and so far I've seen a whopping 8 plays/musicals. (Don't laugh; I think it's impressive for a fourteen year-old.) I always felt an odd connection to poor ugly Phantom, but then again he was so dang ugly. Well, I still wonder what his initials, O.G., stand for.

    Dear Fellow Poster,

The letters O.G, stand for Opera Ghost, which "The Phantom of the Opera" referres to himself as at times.

Dear whats your face I am a fellow lover of the theater and if you heven't read the book I would tell you that in the play Erik is like Prince Charming compared to the origonal character (but I still have a heart for him even more than for the ones in the movie and musical). Oh and postscript, that Lon Chaney was a nasty piece of work too, when he played PTO.

Everyone beats me. I've only seen local productions of musicals. The only one I've even come close to seeing on Broadway is the 2008 tour of POTO when it came through Tulsa.
And yes, novel Erik is 10,000 times more ugly than musical or movie Erik could ever be.
Does the description, "His face is so ugly it looks like a skeleton" mean anything to anyone?

    Totally Obsessed Phantom Phan!

I am also a fan of: Lion King, High School Musical, Harry Potter, Disney in general, Days of Our Lives, Musicals in general, Dr. Seuss and Grinch!
