There are many religious allusions in crime and punishment. I have examined the more obvious ones involving the critique of marriage, Lazarus,and the sacrements, but I was wondering what it is about Crime and Punishment that is so critical of organized religion. Is it the marxist undertones, which are used to quash the idea that religion is an affective opiate of the populus? Any ideas would be great,<br>vic
