hi, in the movie, after christine and raoul left in the boat, where did the phantom go? was there a sequel written? in the movie, at the end, he did leave a rose with the ring, i wondered what he did all that time, maybe he went back to get meg, she had a good voice!!!!!!!!!!!. curious.

Better to leave it to mystery - that was the idea of it. Make up one's own idea of what happened to the P. I like it that way. Then the rose appeared at her grave - in the newest film version - it kept you wondering, didn't it? Nice graphic touch, I thought.

In the movie: The Phantom lived, and eventually brought a rose with the ring he intended to give Christine to Christine's grave.
In the theater: Disappeared in the mirror, and left the mask.
In the novel: Died, because Christine left, his heart broken.

I defiently prefer the "just disappeared to who-knows-where ending" just because it makes for good fan fiction! (That should be "Phan" fiction, excuse me.) And you can have your own ideas of what happened after the Phantom left.
