Hey... I saw Howard as the Phantom too! <3 <3 <3 (those are supposed to be hearts!)
I haven't had a chance to see the show since then... *sniff* though I've listened to the soundtrack a few billion times, and I hope to see it again before the movie version of the musical comes out this December (!!!) , so the stage version will be fresher in my mind and I can compare the two. At this point Howard isn't there anymorebut there's another guy, Hugh Panaro, who I've heard is also AWESOME

It's a little... odd... to comment on a book you haven't read yet!
While you're HERE, why don't you read the book? Isn't it right here, free online for you to read? It's A LOT different from the musical, but it's still a great book; it adds some more depth to Raoul and Christine's characters, and it just leaves your heart bleeding all over the floor for poor Erik :'( *awww*
(Erik is the Phantom's name, in case you don't know; they didn't mention it in the musical.) And be forewarned: Erik is a LOT uglier in the book than he is in the musical!
