    what is your dream name?

if you could choose a new name for yourself, legally and free of charge, what would you call yourself?

i am stuck between two names.. tell me your opinion via the pole!

(i am getting my name legally changed if i can convince myself that i like the other name better...)

    I love Kriana...
I think it's a difficult process to change your name, but after my grandma died I wanted to have her name, Emma, but I still don't want to loose my name and Helga Emma just doesn't sound good so when I was pregnant I decided that if I'd have a girl I'd name her Emma, but I didn't have a girl and I don't think I'll have another one so... don't know

    Fourth vote is mine!

I love Krystal, but on the other hand Kriana is much rarer and therefore more attractive. You would definitely draw attention if it is Kriana. I go with Kriana.

What's its origin? I've been searching but found nothing? It sounds like Scandinavian to me... hmmm ... could it be some variant of Kristanna?

If you dislike how Helga Emma sounds you could probably put another name in the middle, as a link between them, like Helga Marie Emma for example. I believe that one sounds good.

Other options that sound good to me: Helga Maria Emma, Helga Elizabeth Emma, Helga Carina Emma. Of course you should consider your last name and see if you like the whole sound, with all the names put together I hope I've helped.

Why dont you collaborate the two and go with Krystiana?

No offence Jekan, but I always thought you were a guy!

I've always thought my name should be Jennifer because that was my mother's favourite name from the time she was really young and that was what she wanted to name me and has always reminded me of that. It's like I feel bad!!

Why do I still see you in every mirrored window,
In all that I could never overcome?

Lots of people have a ghost name, the opposite sex name their parents prepared for them. Guys, want to get in touch with your feminine side? Mine's called Carol.

My "If I had been born a boy" names are Stevie Jr or Israel. My "almost" names are Natasha, Taviah, or Anastasia. Not sure how they settled on Nikki.

I always thought it'd be cool if I had been named after my great-grandmas Hazel or Dorothy, or something Jewish as my mother originally wanted.

I don't know what my dream name would be. When I was little I really hated my name and wished that I was named Kristy or Britney or Tiffani or Stepanie or Bethany or Kimberly...there's a pattern here - they all end in a long e sound . Now, as an adult, I am thankful that I don't have any of those names. I don't really think about my name that much. I don't hate my name but I am thankful that my name is not Bertha or Gertrude. No offense to any persons out there reading this who may have those names. It's just that those names conjure images of stern, unfriendly, unnattractive characters. And it's always fun to encounter someone who has a name that doesn't suit their personality or occupation at all. Like the masculine woman with short hair who works at the auto-body shop up the road from my house. Her name is Bambi. And a lot of men around here have nicknames that are in direct opposition to a physical trait that they have. My grandfather, who is really tall, is known as Tiny. And there's always some plump guy known as Slim. It goes on. I like things like that.

Oh, and about the two names - I have to say that I can't decide. I guess I'm just neutral on both. I used to like the name Hannah, but then that whole Hannah Montana thing happened and my favorite name has lost its appeal.

Niamh's plan can be good jekan, so you can have a bit of both in one

I thought the same! She's such a mischievous fox-girl that she's been cheating on us all the time!!

Jennifer is a great name. It's one of those names I would have liked my mum to give me if I had been born a girl.

Geez... I really have no clue - I like them both!

BTW, totaly not the question here but I thought I might mention it: the domain name for Kriana is already taken: [click].

And if I could change my name... I would not change a single thing. I have family names, with a bit of a twist to them and I really like them I think my parents did a good job when they had to figure out how to call a little baby girl

I don't really like either of those names. I'm sorry but they sound like striper names! (especially Krystal)

I'm with Baki on this one, sorry Jekan. (I also always thought you were a guy...)
Naked except for a cigarette, you let your mind drift and forget your disbelief. Feel the chill down your back and the flutter of wings through dandelion fields, and forget the pull of gravity in a night without stars.

I lack eloquence and commitment to my arguments. They are half baked, and I will begin passionately, and then abandon them.
