    Hard Times by Charles Dickens

I picked up Hard Times without really knowing much about it! I was wondering if someone can give me a brief run down on it, but don't give a lot away! I like books that surprise me! Thanks

Now I hope that I'm thinking of the right one...it is basically about 2 kids whose father want them to be raised in a 'factual' way, but they get to know some kids from the circus... uhm and there was also something about a guy working in a factory or stuff... The 'factual' thing is interesting, like the way the father sees the world thorugh that lens, which is probably meant to be significative of the Victorian age... Hope I didnt give too much away with this! I think I liked it, I read it very quickly cos it was for school but noone in the class had read it and a friend of mine found it online so I rushed to read it before the test...lol I was saving all of my classmates with knowing some details...though I dont remember if I read the end...
dead on the inside, i've got nothing to prove
