Mine is 17, "Among the Haycocks". It's where I fall deepest for Mac. I'm in a state of up-lift, having just reread the book, the 3rd or 4th time!

Yes, chapter 17 is brilliant, I can read that over and over again. Also polishing Mac is such a funny chapter, Steve teaching him to dance made me laugh so much.
The ending is so so beautiful too.
It is difficult for me to decide upon a favorite chapter in this book. I like them all. I think one of my favorites is the very first chapter, Coming Home. The reader gets a small glimpse into the minds of each of the three young men (Archie, Charlie, and Mac). I think in a way it also gives a hint as what is to come in the remaining chapters.
I also like chapters 12 and 18, At Kitty's Ball and Which Was It?.
