Hello comrades,

Yes. "England Your England", "My Country Right or Left" and "Shooting an Elephant" all spring to mind, but there are others.
"I should only believe in a God that would know how to dance. And when I saw my devil, I found him serious, thorough, profound, solemn: he was the spirit of gravity- through him all things fall. Not by wrath, but by laughter, do we slay. Come, let us slay the spirit of gravity!" - Nietzsche
nice, i'll check those out.
reason why i ask is im going to be doing research on the dangers of neoconservitism soon, and at the moment i'm reading 1984, and i thought it would be interesting to seen what orwell would say against it in a more formal form
"Looking Back on the Spanish Civil War" contains some great material about tyranny. Orwell also did a review of Mein Kampf. "Catastrophic Gradualism" talks about Western apologists for Stalinism.
