I don't recall really having a bad first impression of anyone. I had some reserved first impressions, but the people I actually really don't like ( yes there are such people!) I didn't start to not like them until I'd been here a while.

I would very much like to hang out with him in real life

Sitaram - some may not remember him - yikes, an odd breed of human!

No, no, no! I know you didn't mean to, infact.. you didn't mean to offend me at all.

I was just making an observation that most people here have been, I think, wary of me? at first? I don't know how to explain it.

hahaha, I thought logos was a guy too. She had that test pattern avatar, then when she changed it I was like wow, logos isn't a guy.

Wary might be a good word, but only because you're new. New people come and go but only a few stay. I haven't seen a lot of your posts so I don't have much of an opinion to go on (although you did shut me down in the Soundgarden thread!) but you seem smart and nice.

Also, just to add to what papaya said, not only do not many stay, not many make such an impact. We kind of wade in through the shallow area, you jumped in the deep end. Most people are rather quiet at the start and slowly make themselves known, but you came in here all guns blazing! Which isn't a bad thing, just since you've come in, and Matt, there's been so much more activity - I think some people didn't know what to make of it.

My first impression of Theinsomniac was that he was the coolest guy ever, and i want his babies.

Got to say I also thought logos was a guy, but wasn't there someone who swore blind logos was a computer generated message?

Thanks, mono! I wouldn't consider myself well-read, but I'm trying!!
How long have you been away for, Mono? I feel like I remember you for some reason...
I'm weary with right-angles, abbreviated daylight,
Waiting for a winter to be done.
Why do I still see you in every mirrored window,
In all that I could never overcome?

I think i read a post of your somewhere in the facinity of General literature when you were only a few posts into your post count that made me think that...couple of posts after that, you discovered General Chat and that was the end of that!

Yeah I understand, it's always like that with newbies.

But you could argue that the snobbish people here aren't the ones who situate themselves in the general lit section ( for this is, well, a literature site ) but those who distance themselves from newbies because of these impressions they've formed on the basis of well... nothing, eh?

I do think that everyone is naturally a little protective over their "territory" when it comes to newcomers though. Even if that territory is a website
