HOMEWORK HELP: King Lear and Hollywood

Hi! We;re given this assignment in Lit class wherein we would pretend that we would be staging the King Lear and we would cast Hollywood actors and actresses to play the characters in the play... Any suggestions for these roles:

    1.) King Lear
    2.) Cordelia
    3.) Goneril
    4.) Regan
    5.) Gloucester
    6.) Edgar
    7.) Edmund
    8.) Kent
    9.) Albany
    10.) Cornwall
    11.) Oswald
    12.) Fool
    13.) France
    14.) Burgundy

i wanted to cast either sean connery or robert de niro for King Lear, and johnny depp for the fool... ryan phillippe for edmund and claire danes for cordelia (coz i saw her in romeo and juliet with di caprio, but i think she looks different now)... i was also thinking of casting virginie leyoden but i don't know how old she is now... what do you guys think?

Your help with be most appreciated...

    THANK YOU!

Oh,yes,Claire Daines would make a perfect Cordelia I think! But why don't you try with Al Pacino for King Lear?He is a wonderful Shakespearean...

Why don't you use all black actors? I'm sure Denzel Washinton could fit in there somewhere? And don't forget Will Smith.

Now, would Sean Connery be a Hollywood actor or a Scots actor?

I was planning to put in a black actor but I don't know many of them... Can you please suggest some names Silas? And the roles they'd be perfect for? *bats eyes* I hear you're an expert on black literature and stuff so I presume you know quite a lot about black actors too. Pretty please?

Aw but the fool needs a great actor, not a goof! He's one of the most interesting characters in the play! James Stewart would have made a good fool, were he still alive. And Kent is the best character by far!! He needs someone distinguished.

I'll be back later with some ideas for you!

I do think Michelle Pfeiffer should be Goneril though.

Why do I still see you in every mirrored window,
