    lion king

if you liked to film lion king and enjoyed reading macbeth. well it doe not surprise me. it is the same story but told from different points of view. if you think about it duncan was killed by macbeth and it was blamed on his two sons. scar killed mufasa, and it was blamed on simba. rafiki the monkey is the supernatural power that predicts the future which is done by the witches in macbeth. so scar is macbeth. mufasa is duncan. rafiki is the witches. simba is malcolm. and yes timon and pumba make come in aswell as macduff. you may think this is a bit stupid but if you watch the film and read the book, you will see it makes sense.

    Hamlet?

Actually, the Lion King is more similar to Hamlet than MacBeth. Think about it: deceiving uncle that kills the king (Mufasa) and takes the mother, then attempts to dispose of his nephew (Simba) after taking over the "kingdom". I see where you can make connections with MacBeth, but usually Hamlet is the story people associate with the Lion King.

Yep, The Lion King was actually inspired by Hamlet I believe. There is actually a direct link to The Lion King page from the Hamlet page on wikipedia.
