my merciful betrayal
slightly mutes a deafening conscience
of torture based in foresight
for the odds of a weaker victim
damaged beyond repair,
by selfish motives of another
who had not your torture through time
in mind when sealing your fate,
that narrowed the options and gave me
an inevitable choice which fooled you
to mistake me, in death, as evil.
