Hey ! A French is here !!
Hi !
I'm Laura, 18 and I come from France, in Bordeaux (in the SO of France).
I study English in the University, and obviously, the English and American Literature. We talked about "The Awakening", of Kate Chopin, and we've just started to talk about "The fox", of D.H. Lawrence. I have to read, for December, some other books : "The Glass Menagerie" by Tennesse Williams, "Selected Poems" by Robert Frost and a novel, "Black Boy", by Richard Wright.
I'm here, with you, to improve my english, of course, but to speak about the literature, and try to discover a lot of things about it, and try to be trained to read more !!
My hobbies ?! Hm.. My passion is music ! I love it ! I like buying a lot of CD's, or vinyls ! I listen pop/rock music, but also independant bands, who deserve to be known in the world, like Gavin Degraw, who's not know in France, for example, except the OTH's fans, or Howie Day, Imogen Heap etc.. Briefly, I like discovering some artists by Myspace or other websites...
I like watching TV, and I'm a great fan of TV series. My favourite series are Dawson's Creek, OTH and The O.C. . I like watching Gossip Girl, but, it's not the same thing than the other, it's more different... If I could see the series on American channels, like CBS or Fox, I'll be very happy.. But, I can't : either, it's necessary to pay, or, I don't find the good websites.
...I speak a lot ! lol !!
I hope we could speak about literature, and I hope that my English will be understanding
And, to finish, you have to know that I like speaking with English persons, maybe because the U.S. or, the Great Britain make me dream !..
