When winston is captured and placed in containment, another man enters the room and hee notices that the man is dying of starvation. After the beating of the chinless man, the officer walks in and signals for the skull faced man to be brought to room 101. As he begs not to be dragged there, he offers to turn in his family, have there throats cut, and he would stand by and watch.
Why would he offer to have his family killed instead of him? Does room 101 have that big of an impact on society?![]()
