    Well hello there Ms.jjmami
I admir Percy Shelly! He is honestly the most outstanding English Romantic poet of his times. He worte in lyrical, like if he was singing a song, a beautuful song. I worship how he worte. I would have loved to meet him. The poem is great you will have fun doing your project.

Smile In response to your plea

This poem is of the complex type, being that it is written in old english. Yet the message for this exemplary poem is simple and straightforward... It is a cry for those who weren't of the rich noble hierarchy of the times of English monastery at its best. What the poem says is true, in those times anything that the poor peasants and serfs was just given to those of higher ranks. In the system they had, those that were poor had no oppurtunity to move up, which is one of the primary reasons why when the pilgrims moved to the Americas and experienced a taste of freedom, they rebeled against the system the lobsterbacks, or english had.

    Love you

A some what simplistic response sb12. Shelley is certainly calling for a radicalised working class that should 'forge arms- in your defence bear. Key here is the word 'defence' as Shelley was horrified by the violent excess of the French Revolution and wished for a peaceful democratic solution as he later discussed in The Mask of Anarchy. For Shelley it is the 'laws of the land' that will be 'arbiters of the dispute'.
