    Exclamation The Hoax Called Evolution

    The Hoax Called Evolution

    by mazHur

    What are these apes doing around?

    India, for one, is getting overpopulated;
    growing progeny of pariah
    macaques and langurs
    hopping all around.
    This genus of immature primates
    flourishes like wild flowers
    sprouting on the face of creepers
    with the first sign of approaching spring;
    flowers would fade and wither
    ultimately perish and become
    dust with dust;
    ever seen a lily turn into a daisy
    or a daisy turn into a daffodil;
    roses may change colors
    lose their fragrance
    but not shape;
    right, change is for ever but-
    but how on earth can apes turn into humans?
    what will then humans turn into??
    Angels? Oh,no!
    light passes into darkness,
    darkness into night
    but nothing else.
    evolution is a fantasy-
    a brain child of an idle cleric.
    similarities won't make me you
    nor you me;
    nature has it's own ways of fooling men;
    when men cannot comprehend their Creator
    they create their own reasons and images;
    If Humans had been evolved from apes
    you wouldn't find apes and macaques
    mimicking men around;
    comparing apes with men
    would be taken as an affront
    by the god Hanuman;
    don't tell him evolution progresses in phases,
    were it so then he may pounce at you with a retort
    saying dreams too progressed
    in phases,little by little,
    changing hues and forms;
    but all this doesn't go to proving
    that dreams are always true!
    the hoax called Evolution is a half-awake dream;
    if apes and macaques dreamt it,they would scream.

    Mazhur, your poetry has gotten much better. The first half of this is very strong. The second I'm afraid evovles into standard argument and standard argument is not poetry. That argument can be left out of the poem becuase it can be implied. If you'll let me cut that weak part out, see if you like it:

    Hello Virgil

    I always welcome constructive suggestions.
    I take your point and appreciate and thank you for clipping the superfluous lines. The poem now looks better, indeed.

    I agree with virgil; the first half is quite poetic, the end is just argumentative. I'm a firm believer in evolution though, so I can't identify with the content... I might just propound that, according to evolutionary theory, both man and modern apes came from ancestors that were not either, so man didn't come from apes even according to the theory.*

    *I don't want to start a debate, I just wanted to clear this common misunderstanding up.

    I believe in evolution too. I was just commenting on the poetry.

    Very well done poem -- very ill-advised concept.

    Poem is very good, MaZ.
    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
    But it's all just the way
    that we cope with our lives...
