    If [i]Hyperion and The Fall of Hyperion win, should we treat them as one book or two (read them in two months)? They are together about 550 pages.

    We suggest "Hyperion" and "The Fall of Hyperion".
    It is science fiction, but far from shallow or anything like that. They are very deep and consider topics such as immortality, poetry, parently love, ecology and religion and gods. Have won the Hugo, Locus, Prix-cosmos, Seiun-Sho, Japan Hugo, British SF, SF chronicle awards (plus tFoH was a Nebula finalist).
    If you believe even a half of this post, you are severely mistaken.
