    down on teachers

Why does everyone think teaching is such a horrible career chioce? We all had them, and I'm sure I can't be the only one who appreciated them. The last woman I told I was going to college to teach responded with "It's a thankless job, with no glory in it." Is everyone obsessed with money? We can't all be pharmacists and doctors. This is not the reaction I had anticipated... Since, when did teaching become the wrong thing to do with your life?

    Hello Everyone,
Well there isn't much to say, My name is Georgia. I am an English student and I am interested firstly in foreign lamguages and also Egyptology. Currently I study Spanish and Japanese and hope to travel in the future as staying in one place can easilly bore me. In my free time I write poetry, I haven't really decided on what I would like to do with my life yet so I enjoy new oppertunities and experiences.

    Hello

This sort of group hug seems to be compulsory. Yet I despise it.

    Hi everyone!
My name is Milana and I'm from Ukraine. English is not my first language, so I have some problems with this, but I trying to learn more and practice. I like reading classic literature and also trying to write by myself.

    Hi,
I am a teacher living near the city where Edgar Allan Poe grew up in Virginia. I love my job and I will be kind when I grade...I mean critique... items I read on this message board.
I have some poetry of my own to share in the coming months/years. I look forward to discussing books, stories, novels, and poems with all of you.

    Hi ldevier,
When I left high school, the last person I told I was going to be a teacher replied, "There is no money in it!"
I said, "I don't care about the money."
He immediately said, "You will when bread is $2 a loaf."
I did not change my mind and I love teaching. Do you teach, ldevier?
