Anyone interested in Poe discussion group

This is an idea I have tossed around in my head a couple of times, and decided I would throw it out there, sense the two dicussion threads I most activetly partook in are currently both on break.

I love Poe which many here probably already know by now. He is one of my favorite authors, and I think his stories are amazing.

Is anyone interested in starting up a discussion group for Poe's stories? If so just post here to let me know, and if enough exrpess an interest than we can try and get something going.

Hey! I would be completely up for it. I know I probably won't be able to do any serious reading until September because I have too many things that I need to take care of right now that seem to be taking over my life, unfortunately. That is the exact reason why I was unable to get involved in the Shakespeare discussion like I'd hoped to. But by September everything should be in order (hopefully!). So, yes, I would LOVE to discuss Edgar! I love the man!! I haven't read any of his writings in so long that it is ridiculous. This will be the thing that will push me into it again.

Hehe well I am going to wait to see if a few more people hopefully decided to get envolved, so you have some time before it acutally starts.

Yeah, I kind of figured that since the idea of the topic is very new it would take a little bit of time to see if anyone else would want to get involved. I figured I was "safe" with not missing anything. I will see if I can get anyone else interested.

Well now that is seems enough people have shown interest to get a discussion going I will more than likely offically open the thread at the end of the month as Lady Wentworth expressed she will not be free untill September and I told her I would give her some time, and give others a chance to join in.

I'd be up for it. I've only read a little EAP here and there, and he's a pretty interesting fellow. I start classes next week, but so much of his stuff is fairly short, I think I could probably participae.
Plus, he's a very popular writer among readers of all ages; I don't think you could really go wrong with starting a thread.

Will we be discussing his poetry also? Or do you think we will stick to just his stories for now?

I think it could be interesting to dicuss some of his poetry. I might see how the story thread goes, and if it does do well open a seperate thread for his poetry
