    Security is a wall

We are all set to wall ourselves
    Against threats
    Sons and daughters are created
Lest we are not blown up into vacuity

We fortify ourselves with a compound, a border, a nation
Walling us thinking that “inside” is secure
Yet wall is wall that limits you
You will shrink into a mere nothing
Of course from the possibility of growing infinitely

The wall is what birthed schools of fundamentalists and fanatics

Security with and without is a thing of relativism
In-things can push you into oblivion
    Out – things into light
The reverse can equally prove true.

We have countries, and so do we have wars
    Multiplicities of creeds, beliefs, races
We have created all these to stuff us into packs
Did tribes ever help solve eternal conflicts?
Or fuelled the flame / enormity of enmity?

Is not security a chain that fetters us to taboos?
    Laws are taboos
For the history of it is despotic
Wherein man obeyed under the sword
Too much of law gets us back in time
To a period of the history of absolutism
    You will hero-worship your ruler
    Begging for security

    Security is a wall
    Security is a chain

How interesting Blaze. I can certainly see your point.
I'm in love with The Vinegar Man and Mr. Tanner, but be careful, it could just as easily be you.

Thank you for finding it interesting.

All I have to say is not a new subject we have not heard of. It is simply re-presenting. Or to put it differently I stylize it. Trying to fit in a different frame and nothing else.

Whether we are poets or writers or artists we do not know greater truths than any other simple folks. All we do is present things differently using different, pompous words.

There is nothing new under the sun and everything is in its refined form only.

Here all I want to message is we wall ourselves while seeking for security. The way Dr. Faustus bargained his soul with the Devil for a handful of pleasures.

All we do is the same. Working in the office is to wall us, to imprison or to accept a kind of slavery.

While it is virtually impossible to unshackle us from the chains of slavery yet awareness can be a boon at times in point of fact.

I do not know how far did I succeed in putting the idea in question across you.

    You are the judge.

blazeofglory you are too modest! You have added new insight to an old subject.

Actually speaking I feel when we in society try to live together we are stormed with many challenges. When we are wedded we have to surrender and as such we have to compromise with our spouses. Even a child living in a family has to sacrifice so many of his natural instincts, and he will be confined within a cell.

I do not say remaining within this wall of security is a good idea or bad, all I want to say is this is averse to freedom.

Man is a lover of freedom and it is his natural instincts and indeed securities have walled him and he is doomed in the prison of society.
