I lost my driver's licence card a few years ago. I was able to replace it. What do you use for identity?

For somebody it can be easy, but for somebody it can be hard. For example for Janus. :-) (2 heads are hard to hide :-) )

What sort of a question is this?

If it is a practical question, then yes, as Virgil says, things like driving licences can be replaced, maybe not without a measure of inconvenience or difficulty, and should perhaps be a reminder to us all to keep documents in a safe place.

If it's a metaphysical question - Who am I? - well, that's a whole new kettle of fish.... (And when you find out, perhaps you'd drop me a line and let me know.)

It depends in what manner. I mean, If i hit myself in the head and lost all my memories, would I still be myself? Since identity is formed in response to the environment and experiences in this position I wouldn't be myself but someone other. A new entity. So, I say both yes and no.

Man has no other identity than manliness so does woman with her womaliness. What more, tell me?

“Those who seek to satisfy the mind of man by hampering it with ceremonies and music and affecting charity and devotion have lost their original nature””

“If water derives lucidity from stillness, how much more the faculties of the mind! The mind of the sage, being in repose, becomes the mirror of the universe, the speculum of all creation.
