It took me 1 week the first time (I was reading it out-loud to my sister and had to wait to read until we both had a chance) and the 2nd time it took me 5 days. I love that book!!!

I first read it a number of years ago. I think it took me about a week or so. I have read it a couple of times since then. It takes me longer to read it now. I don't know why, but when I re-read something, it takes me longer the second time around than the first time. Maybe because I know the ending and I don't have this great need to rush through the story to see how it ends.

Half an hour? For a book a couple hundred pages long? I'm rather incredulous.

It took me four hours. I got it from the library and didn't set it down for the rest of the day

I doubt it. You didn't read it in that time. Perhaps you might have skimmed it, but surely you didn't finish it that fast. My edition has ~270 pages. That's 9 pages a minute, exactly. That's a page every 6.66... seconds. There is no way you read all of that and comprehended it.

The first time, I don't remember. The past few times, 2 or 3 weeks, because I've been reading it out loud.
