Essay on "The Fall of the House of Usher"

I have an essay due tomorrow on "The Fall of the House of Usher" by Edgar Allan Poe. I need to prove that Roderick Usher is a direct reflection of Poe. I found the story very confusing, so I'm wondering if any of you guys would want to give me ideas for a head start.

I'd really like to get a reply about this. I'm not asking for a lot...just basic thoughts and concepts about this topic.

Besides both Poe and Usher being crippled by fear, I don't think of much else. The story was very confusing, as I said before....
