Hmmmm...if I could have anything...just one thing....and that is...happiness. Now, is that too much to ask for? Just this permanent happiness which is oblivious of any pain, ignorant of any hurt, indifferent to any criticism some people cruelly offer at times...

Count me in, in this 15-16 group. I think there are some more of us lit-netters out here.

no it isn't ...but life isn't fair...and there's things that we go through so that when we have one of those perfect times...it will make it seem brighter than it really is...

permanent happiness.. hmm.. crazy thought: given that permanent happiness denotes a bland, mundane existence (since we wouldn;t even know we were happy) maybe the answer is to watch people suffering? sadist! lol

Thanks for the welcome! Hmmm and when I am not in Neverland, then I am in the Land of Pure (Pakistan).

Heh well these days kids of eight or nine are quite clever enough to join a forum but hey I hope you didn't mistake me for one.

no it isn't ...but life isn't fair...and there's things that we go through so that when we have one of those perfect times...it will make it seem brighter than it really is...
I would rather not have my grandfather dead than seeing him wake up from death.

Heh, nah, you aren't a sadist. Not everybody thinks of Siddhartha to be sane either...but as for the dull life then....well I would be happy, why would I care?

Pen, i always thought you were older than me, that's all.. (but hey, i would love to be mistaken for eight or nine! even in my sophomore year of high school i was mistaken for a college student so you can imagine why )

i do agree with you about the grandfather part. (besides, wouldn;t that be a gross prospect?)

the whole point of not having perfect, perpetual happiness was that if we were always happy, we wouldn;t even realize we were happy, kinda like if we were in the light always, how would we even know about the dark? (now where have i read that before?) well anyway..

i do think, though, that we all had that perfect happiness when we were little-er.. when we were younger and knew nothing of worldly concerns...

p.s. thanks for saying i'm not a sadist

I am afraid the list will be so long that ALL THE TREADS will be too short for this.

Well, no matter how many things I list there'd still be more...

Theres one thing I would like, I guess, and that is not to be in so much pain. I have Hypermobility Joint Syndrome, and it's like CONSTANT pain. And it sucks. I can do some cool things with my arms and legs and stuff because I'm so flexible... but sometimes I'd rather be normal and not in pain. I had 2 knee operations about a year and a half ago when I was 14... And it's hard knowing that if I have children they're going to have this condition.
But having the condition has really helped me become the person I am, and I wouldn't want to change that....
So I'd like to have someone get rid of the pain that comes with the condition, because sometimes it makes life hard.

I'd also like a new computer, video camera and digital camera
I think the list is nearly endless though
