    Hey. I'm Parker. :o)

Brooklyn is my home, and books are my bliss. I love Sherman Alexie, Haruki Murakami and Diane Ackerman. But I also love childrens books. My fave would have to be The day I swapped my dad for two goldfish

Of course the pyramids are the big draw, but I'd also love to see Cairo, Alexandria, Memphis, Luxor, and take a cruise down the Nile.

I am an English person, looking to anyone who knows a poem that my Granmother used to receit to my family when we where little...... it is about an Elf that sits on the uppermost shelf of the panty.... he eats all the christmas pudding or cake and is a little worst for wear as it contains brandy. I also have another peom that is called 'Little Nancy knockabout'. It goes Little Nancy knockabout wouldn't wash her face, covered with sutt, mud and marmlade, 'oh what a disgrace'. Until on fine day a coal man can knocking at Nancy's door and said "oh, Nancy for my wife I would adore...... but Nancy screamed and ran away and ordered 20 bars of soap that very same day...

There is lots more (I believe to the latter poem). If anyone has any ideas, please reply.... Thanks

    Greets from Brazil

    Hey, everyone!
I'm a student from Brazil and I'm really interested in literature and all about it. I was googling for "free direct and indirect speech" when I came across this website. I think it's a great way to connect literature lovers and share knowledge.

    Cheers!

That's quite interesting. It's usually the opposite, Syrians living in Turkey.
    Do you have Syrian roots?
