I was just flipping stations and there was an infomercial for a cloths steamer. I think it was called the Toobi. It looked so much easier then ironing but I wonder if that's actually true??

A new Health and beauty aid store just opened in my neighborhood. The Grand Opening is today so I went on my lunch hour (I had work related errands to run as well). I got a goodie bag of free products (sample size of course) I had a consultation with a hair dresser, a free eyebrow wax, and a mini make over. It was a glorious lunch hour. The marshmallow flavored lip gloss tasted good but not filling enough so I had to stop for a burger on the way back.

Can't go wrong with free waxing and free stuff! Didn't anyone question your puffy forehead when you got back to work though? lol

I've always wanted to get my eyebrows waxed but never have for some reason. I pluck but I don't really know what I'm doing so while they may be nice and groomed, they have no discernible shape.

And there are few things more awesome than flavored lip gloss.

I had my eyebrows waxed once. I still had to clean them up once I got home though. Oh well.

And yes, there is nothing so satisfying as putting on lip gloss that tastes good. HA

Oh, I know! I have a ton of them in every flavor imaginable. I have one in every coat pocket, every purse and scattered here and there through out the house so I'm never more than a few steps away from one at any given point during the day...I'm a little obsessed.

Hey guys, I got a style question: Does dark red hair look good with olive skin? (think sallow, the color of old parchment, taupe/beige and dark, bright red)
    Shall these bones live?

hmm...depends on the red. If it's a bright, unnatural red, it won't look good on anyone lol. My friend has very dark skin (I dunno that it's olive) and dyed her hair a very dark red-brown and it looked good.

    Like this color?

I got the mini makover after the waxing, they gave me a dusting of that mineral make up so it wasn't so bad.

Whooo Hoooo, tomorrow I'm getting a "curly cut" I found a guy that says he's good with the curls; he cuts the hair it while it's dry so we'll see what happens.

I think I'm going to start an experiment to see if there is a correlation with the volume of my hair and the humidity. The only issues I can see is that I would have to keep the type and amount of product the same plus I would have to devise a way to measure the volume. I'll sleep on it.

My hair always puffs up when I go to a humid place. I think there is a correlation for anyone who has a lot of hair, like myself.
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

exactly! I would be my own walking barometer but there is the problem of using the same product, ya'll know how much I like the products and of course the goal is not to be puffy....

I got my haircut in town and so far so good. I'm hoping it grows out nicely because I really like this new hairdresser. He is sooo fun, we gossipped like we've known each other for years. Unfortunately I couldn't completely enjoy the experience because just before my appointment I got a phone call from work saying that there had been a little spill, to which I had to spend a good deal of time on the phone with the state police.
